The prenatal care here is top notch. With each appointment, I felt heard and informed as we counseled together on the pregnancy and my plans for the birth.
During labor, there were moments I wasn’t sure I could continue, and in those moments, the team would jump into action, giving me the extra bit of encouragement or another coping skill to continue laboring and moving forward. They very much allowed me to lead and feel comfortable in my body throughout the process. I wasn’t sure going into this if I would be able to labor without an epidural or other types of pain medication, but I found that I could thanks to the team’s help in creating a safe and peaceful environment.
The postpartum and newborn care have also been top notch here. The team helped me figure out breastfeeding, which I was pretty nervous about beforehand, and now I feel confident in my ability to feed my baby and provide for her.
